About |
Filmed and narrated by Michael Stewart and edited by Dylan Hall,
Watoto
wa Mitaani seeks to discover the personalities of 5 street children (Alex, Aliziwan, Thomas, Joshua and Aziz), while at the same time understanding the large scale circumstances
that confront them on a daily basis. Issues such as poverty, HIV/AIDS,
malnutrition, sexual violence, and a lack of shelter interplay on
the streets. In this setting the boys' talents, warm personalities
and general happiness provide a stark contrast, as well as a glimpse
into Tanzania's and Africa's strength.
